The World: Vaporis City

Once the pinnacle of civilization, Vaporis City was a soaring metropolis powered by the Great Forge—a technological marvel capable of turning water into infinite energy. Under the leadership of Grand Master Jojo, the city flourished in a golden age where steam was the lifeblood of progress and peace.

The Catalyst: The Great Overload

Everything shattered the day ambition turned into madness. Anger, one of the Forge's most brilliant engineers, attempted to fuse his own body with the reactor's core to achieve immortality. The experiment triggered the Great Overload: a thermal cataclysm that ravaged the city and corrupted the very source of its power.

The pure, white steam was transformed into Black Steam: a toxic, oily, and sentient mist capable of corrupting machinery and shattering even the strongest of wills.

The Conflict: Shadow over the City

Today, Vaporis City is a landscape of mechanical ruins dominated by the monstrous silhouette of the Great Forge, now the throne of Anger.

• The Reign of Terror: Anger, now a hybrid entity—half-man, half-boiler—uses the Black Steam to keep the city under his thumb. He has enslaved the former Master Jojo, forcing him to act as his personal executioner.
• The Oil Militia: The city’s police force, once guardians of order, succumbed to cowardice. Led by Blob, they ruthlessly hunt down any trace of resistance to stay in the tyrant's good graces.
• The Outcasts: In the dark underbelly of the city, the madness of the Black Steam has birthed deviant beings. Among them is Prisoner, a man freed from his cell not for liberty, but to serve as a loyal—and bizarrely obsessed—minion to Anger.

The Goal: The Spark of Rebellion

Amidst the gears and grime, one last hope remains. Ingenio, the young prodigy who lost everything during the Overload, has managed to stabilize a small reserve of pure steam within his combat gauntlets.

To save Vaporis City, Ingenio must climb through the decaying layers of the city, defeat his corrupted former allies, and reach the summit of the Great Forge to purge the system. But to defeat the Black Steam, he will have to face the source of the nightmare itself: the incandescent fury of Anger.
